Linkin Park has been on hiatus since the death of lead singer Chester Bennington, one of the most iconic voices of the 2000s. Bennington committed suicide in 2017 after a lifelong battle with depression and substance abuse. His death came on what would’ve been the 53rd birthday of his close friend Chris Cornell, the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman who took his own life just two months prior.
